Reconciled Week Two Day Four

All throughout the Bible we see the love of God towards his people. He is constantly pursuing them, constantly guiding them, and constantly loving them.

Leviticus 26:12-13 NIV says “I will walk among you and be your God, and you will be my people. I am the Lord your God, who brought you out of Egypt so that you would no longer be slaves to the Egyptians; I broke the bars of your yoke and enabled you to walk with heads held high.”

Verse 13 says “I broke the bars of your yoke and enabled you to walk with heads held high.”

What are some of the areas in your life that you are enslaved to sin? What things in your life make you want to hold your head down in shame?

God longs to break your yoke of slavery and he wants to enable you to walk with your head held high. You don’t have to carry the shame from your life in slavery. Your old life is dead, and your new life is hidden in Christ. Allow the Lord to take your shame. The cross cleansed you from your slavery to sin, you are free. Walk with your head up, you’re a beautiful child of God.

Isaiah 54:10 NIV says “Though the mountains be shaken and the hills be removed, yet my unfailing love for you will not be shaken nor my covenant of peace be removed,” says the Lord, who has compassion on you.”

Sometime in life it feels as if our lives are being shaken and stirred in the worst possible way. We begin to fear the days ahead and we get lost in the chaos. God’s peace is near in those times.

What area of your life feels shaken and stirred?

Ask the Lord to bless you with peace. He made a peace covenant with you at the cross. Claim his peace over your situation.

1 John 4:9-10 NIV says “ This is how God showed his love among us: He sent his one and only Son into the world that we might live through him. This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins.

God sent Jesus because of his love for us. He made a sacrifice for our sins so that we could come close to him. Think back over your life. Can you think of a time you felt truly loved by God?

Ask God to remind you of a time that he showed love towards you. It could have been through nature, a verse, a song, a friend, a pastor, a random stranger in Wal-Mart.. He will reach us in the most simple of ways.

Take some time today to jot down some of the ways that God has shown his love to you.IMG_1493.jpg

Thank you Lord for loving me. Help me Lord to hold my head up high. Thank you God for giving your only begotten son that we can live through him. Thank you Jesus for giving your life for me. For loving me that much. I love you Lord.
